Mindful Walking and Yoga at Birmingham Botanical Gardens

Tuesday mornings, 8:30 am

Begin your day mindfully walking and practicing yoga among the beauty that is the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

This is a 75-minute class that includes a bit of mindful walking, forest bathing and group interaction, a teaching moment or two and a yoga practice.  Class sizes are limited due to COVID. Register on the Birmingham Botanical Gardens’ website: bbgardens.org

 

Gentle Yoga for Breast Cancer Survivors (family members and caregivers welcome)

Bi Weekly, Tuesdays, 6 pm - class meets during June on the 1st and 15th

This hour long class is offered in partnership with Forge Breast Cancer Survivorship. No previous yoga experience is necessary. To find out more and register, go here.

Slow Flow at Overton Park

Offered through Villager Yoga

Thursday evenings, 6 pm - class meets June 3 and 10

 

Class offers an open, encouraging, and fun environment where students will be guided through creative sequences aimed at exploring the depth of their individual practice and strength of their minds and bodies. Open to all levels, this practice will help students gain flexibility as well as strength and coordination. Incorporating breathing techniques and slow flowing movement, students will enhance cardiovascular health, mental clarity, and overall well-being.
